Chisapani Nagarkot Hiking is 3 days trekking around Kathmandu valley. The short trekking is also popular as Kathmandu valley rim trek as well. The fantastic trekking offers to explore the local villages near Kathmandu valley and to observe the true local life. The trek also allows collecting the best views of mountains including Manaslu, Ganesh Himal, Langtang Himal, Gaurishankar Himal and even we can spot Mount Everest in the far distance.


The Chisapani Nagarkot trekking is easy trekking. The trek starts with a short drive to Sundarijal. From Sundaraijal you will then trek Chisapani village. Chisapani is a small settlement in the lap of the hills. On a clear day, you can enjoy the good views of mountains from Chisapani. The next day you will be hiking up to Nagarkot through Shivapuri Nagarjun National Park. The occasional views of the wildlife and birds are expected. In Nagarkot, you can enjoy the finest sunset views in the Himalayas. Whereas, next day morning the stunning sunrise awaits. On a clear day, Nagarkot offers the panoramic views Manaslu, Ganesh Himal and Maha Langoor Himalayan ranges which is absolutely amazing. On the final day, you will get a chance to visit Changunarayan temple- the oldest temple in Nepal. Then to explore Bhaktapur Durbar Square; the biggest and the most beautiful Durbar Square in Kathmandu valley. The best season to trek Chisapani Nagarkot is spring (March to May) and autumn (September to November). Although this trek can be done in all four seasons.

After the early morning breakfast, you will then take a short drive to Sundarijal. From Sundarijal you will be trekking through the jungle and passing local villages to get to Chisapani. At Chisapani, you can enjoy the good views of green hills and even the good views of the mountains on a clear day.

The route from Chisapani to Nagarkot is mostly through the jungle and the terraced fields. Enjoy the wonderful hiking with the spotting of the birds and some wildlife. In Nagarkot, you can collect the wonderful sunset view in the mountains. Enjoy the best views of the Himalayas.
